COMPETITION RULES AND REQUIREMENTS

ELIGIBILITY: Participants must be students enrolled in grades K-12​​​​​​
VIDEO LENGTH RESTRICTIONS

Grades 9-12: Time limit of ten minutes

Grades 6-8: Time limit of seven minutes
-
Grades K-5: Time limit of five minutes
-
While all entries will be judged collectively, age and grade level will be taken into consideration
GENERAL RULES

The selected piece must originate from the participant's cultural heritage.

It can be of any musical genre, including but not limited to classical, folk, traditional, or contemporary

The piece must be an solo instrumental performance
-
Adaptations or arrangements of traditional pieces are allowed, provided they stay true to the essence of the original composition

Participants are encouraged to infuse their own interpretation and style into their performance while respecting the cultural integrity of the piece
VIDEO SUBMISSION RULES

The video should be recorded in a way that shows the competitor from head to toe and remain stationary
-
The piece of your choice must be performed in one uninterrupted take
-
Sheet music is allowed, repeats are not required
-
No editing video or audio other than cropping or trimming video.

Submission videos should be posted to YouTube

Please make sure your video’s privacy setting is set to either public or unlisted
